All services at Rapha will be provided by Christian Counselors who have a Counseling degree. Some will be licensed, and others are in the process of collecting hours for their license. We offer a variety of services including, but not limited to, those mentioned below.

    Court-Mandated

    Classes & Evaluations

    We offer several court-approved classes and evaluations that have the potential to improve the outcome of your case. We often try to do group sessions for the classes, but will conduct them individually if there are not enough attendees. A Certificate of Completion will be forwarded to the appropriate parties upon completion of any of the classes. If you need to take other court-ordered classes, or would like to start mental health counseling, we have Licensed Mental Health Counselors who can provide those services as well.

    Rapha Counseling Services has formed a relationship with New Life Church in Virginia Beach to provide faith-based mental health services to individuals, groups, families and marriages. We would like to partner with your church too. Please read below for more information. All counseling is provided by therapists with a graduate degree in counseling, a PhD or who are Licensed Professional Counselors. Costs will vary depending on the therapist.       We are Rapha Counseling Services, Inc., a faith-based, non-profit, Christian counseling service. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care for the members of New Life Church at affordable rates. 


      We understand how difficult life can be. We live in a fallen world and emotional brokenness is a symptom of this. We are here to offer you Christian counseling that will strengthen your mind as well as your spirit. God promises never to abandon us, and through His Divine grace and care, you can heal.


      Our Christian counseling services address a wide range of issues. We can treat mental illnesses like depression and anxiety, as well as PTSD, substance abuse, marriage, and family issues.

    • Is Rapha Counseling the right service for me?

      If you are unsure if you should be receiving counseling you should know that it is our opinion that people who seek help are able to not only overcome their current challenges. With counseling you are able to grow and learn, which prepares you to overcome future challenges much more easily. Counseling can be an effective way to work through your unique situation with a caring, professionally trained therapist to help overcome these problems in a safe and confidential environment.

    • Do you only offer in-person counseling?

      We offer in-person counseling and telehealth counseling.

    • How should I communicate with my counselor?

      If you wish to communicate with your counselor between appointments it is best to reach out to them via email or phone. 

    • How long should I make use of Rapha Counseling?

      Everybody is different. Maybe you feel like you no longer require our services after a few weeks, or maybe you wish to stay for a longer period of time. It is completely up to you

    • Do you take insurance?

      Unfortunately, we are unable to accept insurance at this time. We are able to provide receipts for submission to an insurance company for reimbursement.

    • Is my privacy protected?

      Yes. E-mails sent to our address go through a secure, encrypted server. Everything you share with our counselors is in strict confidence, excluding information counselors are required by law to share such as imminent danger to one's self or others.

    • I am a licensed counselor, would I be able to work with Rapha?
